Boarding
We offer boarding for most patient sizes and species! Separate boarding rooms for birds, reptiles, and mammals ensure that animals stay comfortably near their fellow species. Our boarding facility is entirely separate from our hospital area so that you can rest assured that your pet is not being exposed to illnesses. In order to maintain a healthy environment for your pet, below you will find a list of our boarding prerequisites by species.
Birds
Health requirements are: Annual exam (within the last 12 months), a fecal cytology (within the last 12 months), and a Chlamydia test (at any time on record, however, no later than one week prior to boarding). Old World species will also require a test for Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD).
Under 100 grams
Pricing is by weight, is for each overnight stay, and includes cage and food.

Reptiles
Health requirements are: Annual exam and species appropriate fecal test within the last 12 months.

Mammals
Health requirements are: Annual exam and fecal exam within the last 12 month. Ferrets and Rabbits must be current on annual vaccinations.

Pricing is by species, is per overnight stay, and includes food and cage.

Additional Fees and Information
- If your pet is on medication, there is an additional charge of $17/day
- Any special diet requirements or special circumstances will be charged an additional $17/day
- If multiple pets will be staying together in the same appropriately sized cage, each additional pet’s rate will be discounted 50%.
This discount is only valid for pets that normally reside together in the same habitat, and cannot be applied towards pets that live in their own cage/habitat when at home or those that need to be separated during their stay.
We provide the following diets
- For birds: Harrison’s Bird Food (or Roudybush Daily Maintenance when requested)
- For mammals: Oxbow Diets, pellets, and hay
- For reptiles: Greens, Rodents (frozen thawed), and some live insects when available such as Crickets, Roaches, or Superworms.
- Fresh fruits and vegetables will be offered to all species as appropriate
